There were two hoax bomb calls in Dublin yesterday At 6 a.m. a caller to a telephone exchange at Store Street said a bomb had been planted in Mabbot Place.

Another call was made to a Woodchester Bank building in Golden Lane at about 4 p.m., and the building was evacuated until it had been searched.

In each case nothing was found, and gardai pointed out that no code words had been used during the calls.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Justice, Mrs Owen, was refusing all requests for interviews yesterday, a spokesperson said.

The Minister was not at a meeting yesterday evening at which the Taoiseach, Mr Bruton, and the Tanaiste, Mr Spring, discussed the security implications of the ceasefire breakdown.
