Gardaí from the National Drugs Unit in a joint operation with Customs officers seized what they believe to be LSD tablets with an estimated street value of €650,000, it emerged this evening.

The seizure took place at Dublin Port at around 7 a.m. this morning.

Two men in their 30s are being held under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Kevin Street Garda Station following teh seizure in which a handgun was also recovered.
