Police were today hunting two men who tried to abduct two children in separate incidents in Northern Ireland.
An 11-year-old girl was riding her bike in Parkgate Avenue, east Belfast shortly before 7 p.m. yesterday when a white four-door car with blacked-out windows pulled alongside her.
She was asked directions by the driver before he grabbed her t-shirt. The girl escaped, and the car drove off in the direction of Connsbrook Avenue.
In a separate incident a man tried to abduct a 10-year-old boy in Lurgan, Co Armagh, just over an hour later.
The man pulled up beside the boy on the Portadown Road, offered him sweets and told him to get into his car.
When the boy ran off, the black, three-door car with a spoiler, alloy wheels and a large exhaust pipe sped off up the Old Portadown Road.
