Two charged over death of Brazilian man in Kildare

Two men in their 20's have been charged in connection with the death of a Brazilian man in Kildare town yesterday.

Two men in their 20's have been charged in connection with the death of a Brazilian man in Kildare town yesterday.

Both men were charged under the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act and are due to appear at a special sitting of Naas District Court later this evening.

Gardai are continuing to question a third man(23) who was arrested earlier this morning and is being detained at Kildare Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The deceased man, who was in his 30s, had been living in the town for a number of years, a garda spokesman said.

His body was discovered on the side of the road in Ruanbeg Close shortly after 4am yesterday morning, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokesman said.
