Two men accused of false imprisonment of a family during a botched robbery have been sent forward for trial.

Two men accused of false imprisonment of a family during a botched robbery have been sent forward for trial.

Gerard Clarke (37), St John's Terrace, Upper John Street, Cork, and Edward Gaffey (33), Clontygora Court, Dundalk, Co Louth, appeared at Cork District Court yesterday charged with the false imprisonment of Kathy and Gary O'Donovan at Dewberry, Mount Oval, Cork city, between May 2nd and 3rd.

They are also charged with possession of a Colt 45 revolver and ammunition and threatening to kill Mr O'Donovan.

They were  remanded to appear at Cork Circuit Criminal Court on October 24th.
