Gardaí have confirmed that two arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Yohan Verhoeven, whose body was discovered in a remote area of Co Wicklow in early September.
A man and a woman, both in their 30s and from the Ballybrack area of Dublin, were arrested separately late last week and detained at Wicklow Garda station for questioning before being released.
Files are currently being prepared for the DPP. "We'd like to thank the public for their assistance, which was of immense benefit to the investigation. We're happy that our investigation is now complete," said Insp Pat Murray, of Wicklow Garda station.
Mr Verhoeven's body was discovered by hillwalkers in Sraghmore Woods near Roundwood on September 2nd. A postmortem revealed that he had been stabbed.
Known to gardaí for his involvement in the north Wicklow and south Dublin drugs trade, Mr Verhoeven went missing from an address in Shankill, Dublin, on July 12th.
