Two men were being questioned by police in Belfast today after a man was assaulted.
The 27-year-old was set upon and beaten in the Whiterock Road area of west Belfast at around 1.15am.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but a PSNI spokeswoman said his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The two men were arrested a short time later.
The PSNI has appealed for anyone who has any information related to the assault to come forward.
