Two men are being questioned by gardaí over the discovery of a firearm and ammunition in Co Limerick.
The discovery was made last night by gardaí in Shannon in what is being described as a "criminal investigation". The location of the discovery had not been disclosed.
The men are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
