Diyarbakir - Kurdish guerrillas killed two Turkish soldiers, including one officer, yesterday in fighting overnight in the remote southeast, a security official said yesterday.
He said the pair died after their patrol had gone to a location between the towns of Midyat and Nusaybin on the border with Syria following a tip-off that Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) guerrillas were in the area.
