Turkish claim if Cyprus joins EU

Athens - The Turkish Cypriot leader, Mr Rauf Denktash, said yesterday the northern third of Cyprus, under Turkish control, would be "integrated" into Turkey if the divided island's internationally-recognised Greek Cypriot government joins the EU. "If the Greek Cypriots integrate into Europe, we will do exactly the same thing with Turkey," Mr Denktash told the Athens daily To Vima.
