The big event in the St Patrick's Festival in Dublin today will be the new Denny treasure hunt, which promises to bring people, on foot, to parts of the city they do not normally reach.

It is recommended that participants undertake the hunt in teams of four, to maximise the enjoyment, though individuals may also participate.

From 11 a.m. this morning people may register at City Hall where they will receive a pack containing 12 questions and a map of the city. Their start time will also be stamped at City Hall.

The aim is to answer all the questions correctly and collect a stamp at each of the 12 venues mentioned on the question sheet.
