The winning ticket for the £1 million Saturday Lotto jackpot was kept for the weekend under the floorboards in the home of one of the syndicate winners.

Each of seven porters from the National Children's Hospital, Harcourt Street, Dublin, who made up the winning syndicate, will get £142,000.

The winning ticket was bought in Ray's newsagents, South Richmond Street.

The winners included Mr Anthony O'Toole, Mr Frank Tracey, Mr Barry Thompson, Mr Jason Weldon, and Mr Richard Burnett. The two other members wish to remain anonymous.

Four of the group are married, and the ages of the seven men range from 20 to the mid60s.

Mr O'Toole's wife, Elaine, kept the ticket over the weekend under the floorboards of their house.
