Trawler stranded off Donegal coast

A German trawler was yesterday stranded 270 miles off the Donegal coast, after a wire rope got caught in its propeller.

The Hansa will be towed by another German vessel which is expected to reach it early today.

A spokesman for the Marine Rescue Centre at Malin Head said the 15 people on board The Hansa were safe.
