Four members of the Travelling community have been targeted in a pipe-bomb attack in Co Tyrone.

Four members of the Travelling community have been targeted in a pipe-bomb attack in Co Tyrone.

A man and three women escaped uninjured after the device exploded at their house at Gortgonis Terrace, Coalisland, at 10.30pm on Thursday.

The rear door of the house and windows were damaged. Nearby homes were evacuated until bomb disposal officers ensured the area was safe.

SDLP deputy leader Patsy McGlone said he was “very glad everybody escaped injury”.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
