A criminal case-tracking system becomes the first part of the new courts information technology system to come into operation when it goes "live" tomorrow, writes Carol Coulter.
This is just one part of the Court information technology programme, for which £1 million has been allocated. When it is fully operational it will also be able to track civil cases, deal with courts accounting and financial management.
