London - The wreck of a ship which helped rescue passengers on the Titanic has been found, the BBC said. The Car- pathia, sent to the sea bed during the first World War, was under 183 metres of water about 298 km off Land's End, said Mr Graham Jessop of Argosy International.

The 13,000 tonne Carpathia rescued 705 people when the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage in 1912. Six years later the Carpathia was sunk by a German U-boat.
