Dublin's new light rail system suffered its first major accident in the city centre today when two trams collided.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash at around 4.05pm. One Luas tram collided with another while pulling out of the station at St Stephen's Green.
The first tram suffered several broken windows and some damage to its undercarriage.
All the passengers on the train were evacuated and a woman was taken to one of the three ambulances on the scene to be treated for shock.

Gardaí have cordoned off the scene. The Railway Procurement Agency is expected to conduct an investigation into the crash.
