Three 'Real IRA' suspects held in Dublin, Meath

Two men described by gardaí as senior figures within the 'Real IRA' were arrested in Dublin late last night.

Both are being under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939, one at the Bridewell Garda Station and the other at Terenure Garda Station.

Gardaí said a quantity of ammunition and other terrorist paraphenalia was recovered during the operation.

The arrests following the discovery of ammunition in a car in the Dundalk area yesterday afternoon.

A man in his 60s was arrested and is being held at Kells Garda Station.
