Three hedge fund managers agreed to pay a total of about $2

Three hedge fund managers agreed to pay a total of about $2.4 million to settle charges of illegal short-selling in nearly two dozen offerings, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said today.

The SEC said the three managers - Galleon Management, Oaktree Capital Management and DB Investment Managers, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank - settled without admitting or denying any wrongdoing.
