The Naval Service has detained three French-registered fishing boats off the coast of Co Cork.
LE Ciara
The fishing vessels, Miss Jacqueline, Illun Be and Melodi were detained by the LE Ciara approximately 60 miles southwest of Mizen Head, on suspicion of breaching fishing regulations.
The boats were escorted to Castletownbere in West Cork where they will be inspected by Department of Marine officials.
