A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed last night when his motorcycle was in collision with a car at the Willow Grove junction, Delgany, Co Wicklow, at around 6.30 p.m. The driver of the car was taken to Loughlinstown hospital but was later discharged.
Mr Michael O'Connor (88) of St Brigid's Crescent, Bagenalstown, Co Carlow, has died in Waterford Regional Hospital 13 days after being struck by a car while crossing the road near his home. The gardai in Bagenalstown (050321212) are seeking witnesses.
A man killed in a road accident in Co Monaghan on Wednesday has been named as Mr Kieran O'Neill (26), MacCurtain Street, Clones. He was killed after stopping his van to inspect a lorry which had crashed into a ditch at Faltagh in Swanscross, Rock corry. He was hit by a car and thrown into the path of another vehicle. He was taken to Monaghan General Hospital where he died an hour later.
