Thousands of mourners attended the funeral in Carndonagh, Co Donegal, yesterday of Father Adrian Porter (28), who was killed in a traffic accident near Derry last Thursday evening.
Father Porter, who was ordained to the priesthood 18 months ago, was a curate in the Glendermott Parish in the Waterside area of Derry. He was returning to celebrate evening Mass after visiting his parents in Carndonagh when his car collided with a van at Culmore Road on the outskirts of Derry, killing him instantly.
