Racing:  Dylan Thomas and Scorpion were both declared as all the major players stood their ground for Saturday's King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.

Following the final 48-hour stage, the only defector was Aidan O'Brien's Yellowstone, stablemate to the aforementioned duo.

With the last-named colt not lining up, this year's 12-furlong summer showpiece will feature seven runners, none of which represent the Classic generation.

Michael Stoute's Maraahel will bid to secure his first success at the highest level, while Sergeant Cecil takes a significant step back in distance.

Godolphin's Laverock finished an encouraging second at Newmarket last time and will also take his chance, along with German raider Prince Flori.

The field will be completed by Mick Channon's Youmzain, a Group One scorer in Germany last September.
