This way for ART

ARE we in the red-light district? The neon light flashes on-off, on-off over the doorway. Down an alleyway, through the arch off Cope Street, we go. ART, ART, ART, says the sign. We're at the Graphic Studio Gallery in Temple Bar where a horde of artists are gathered to see the latest exhibition by artist Carmel Benson.

Artists Patrick Pye, James McCreary, James Hanley and Mick O'Dea are all here. So is artist Vincent Sheridan, fascination with crows is ongoing. "I'm a crow man," he says. "How they organise themselves is very similar to humans."

Benson's daughters, Sarah and Leah, are here along with her sister, Angela Jennings, and brother-in-law Frank Jennings.
