Thirty Galway schoolchildren had a narrow escape this morning after the bus on which they were travelling caught fire.

Thirty Galway schoolchildren had a narrow escape this morning after the bus on which they were travelling caught fire.

The children along with two teachers and the driver managed to escape before the bus was engulfed in flames. The incident happened at around 11.30 a.m. near Cloone in Claregalway.

A number of children were treated at the scene by an ambulance crew for minor injuries and shock. The fire is believed to have started at the rear of the bus.
