Gardaí have named the third victim of an horrific crash in Co Louth yesterday

Gardaí have named the third victim of an horrific crash in Co Louth yesterday. He was Mr Thomas Murphy (40) of Fathom Park, Newry Co Down.

Mr Murphy was in a car that went out of control four miles north of Dundalk crashing into a lorry.

Ms Marguerita McShane (18) of Moneymore, Carlingford Co Louth and Mr Séamus Donegan (47) also from Fathom Park in Newry died in the accident - the worst in the area in living memory.

Thirty nine people have died on the State's roads so far this year.
