Gardaí have made a third arrest in relation to the murder of a man in west Dublin last weekend.

A man was arrested last night in connection with the fatal shooting of Dara McCormack (21) Whitestown Park, Blanchardstown.

He is being detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act on suspicion of possessing a gun.

Gardaí believe two men were involved in the shooting, which is understood to be drugs-related.

A man and a woman were arrested earlier this week. They were later released without charge.
