A robber jailed for seven years by Judge Kieran O'Connor yesterday was told he should be paying tax on all the money he took from building societies. Jason Smith (24), of Fernwood Close, Tallaght, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to a series of robberies in the city in 1996. Smith, who is serving a fiveyear sentence imposed by Trim Circuit Court, got sums of from £400 to £2,000. One sum of £430 was recovered.
