The Football Association have confirmed that Chelsea defender John Terry will not be considered for international duty with England until his legal case has been completed.
Terry and Chelsea team-mate Jody Morris, along with Wimbledon’s Republic of Ireland U-21 international Des Byrne, have been charged with assault and affray in connection with a nightclub incident in central London earlier this month.
While the players deny the charges, the FA - in consultation with Sven-Goran Eriksson - have taken the same line as they did with Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate in not considering him until the legal process is over.
