Technology firm VMware announced today it will set up a technical support centre at Ballincollig, Co Cork.

Technology firm VMware announced today it will set up a technical support centre at Ballincollig, Co Cork.

The new centre - serving the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region - will create 78 jobs for software graduate and postgraduate engineers. It is being supported by IDA Ireland.

Announcing the new jobs, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheál Martin, described the company as "a very important addition" to Ireland's software sector.
