Dublin taxi drivers were bitterly disappointed last night at the failure of the Minister of State Mr Bobby Molloy to reconsider his decision to grant 3,000 new taxi licences for the city this year.

The taxi drivers will meet within the next 10 days to consider their next move. Mr John Usher of the Irish Taxi Drivers' Federation said they weren't ruling anything out at this stage. This includes strike action.
