A taxi-driver has been in court on charges involving drugs with an estimated street value of £2,000

A taxi-driver has been in court on charges involving drugs with an estimated street value of £2,000. Mr Paul Joseph Currie, (35), of Molesworth Street, Cookstown, is accused of possessing ecstasy and having the drug with intent to supply in the Co Tyrone town last weekend.

He was remanded in custody when he appeared at Cookstown Magistrates Court yesterday.
