The Minister of State for Local Government, Mr Chris Flood, yesterday formally inaugurated the STAY project in Tallaght. The project, in the St Aengus area, aims to prevent young people from dropping out of school. It provides a range of group work, outdoor pursuits, homework support, computer skills, sports, woodwork and arts and crafts.

STAY is a community response to the problem of early school-leavers in the Tallaght area. By helping young people to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes, STAY hopes they will be better able to participate in school, home and community.
