Kerman - Iranian police yesterday opened negotiations with drug smugglers who kidnapped four Europeans and their Iranian tour guide. The gang is seeking to trade the hostages for money or the release of jailed colleagues. Two of the Spaniards are priests. The five were snatched at gunpoint on Saturday night from a hotel in Kerman, 550 miles south-east of Tehran.
