A takeaway food delivery man (33) is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in a Dublin car robbery.

A takeaway food delivery man (33) is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in a Dublin car robbery.

Gardaí at Crumlin are investigating a "serious assault" that happened just after midnight in Kimmage while the man was making a delivery.

The man suffered stab wounds to his upper body at Poddle Close, and his car was stolen. He was taken to St James’s Hospital where his injuries are described as not life threatening.

The car was later recovered and has been preserved for technical examination.
