Taiwan's total probable cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is now 698. The death toll remains unchanged at 83.

Taiwan has the world's third-highest number of infections and deaths after China and Hong Kong, but the number of new infections has fallen recently.

The number of new SARS infections has stayed below five for 16 days in a row.
