Geneva - Swiss federal authorities threw their weight yesterday behind a Geneva judge's order to indict Pakistan's ex-prime minister Ms Benazir Bhutto on money laundering.
Ms Bhutto, fired as prime minister in November 1996 and now leading the opposition, accused the judge of overstepping his authority by pressing the charge linked to payments from two Swiss firms, Societe Generale de Surveillance Holding (SGS), a leading cargo inspection group, and former subsidiary Cotecna
