The Swansea/Cork Ferries vessel the m.v. City of Corkwill resume crossings at 8 p.m. tomorrow after its engine crew passed a safety test today.
The engine crew received two days intensive training over the weekend after they failed a safety drill last week carried out by the British Maritime Coastguard Agency.
As a result, the vessel was docked in Swansea for five days and more than 1,000 passengers booked to travel home for St Patrick's Day had to make other arrangements.
The company said it had launched a compensation claim of £500,000 against the Greek shipping company, Hellenic Mediterranean Lines, who provided the vessel and the engine and deck crew under charter.
