Kevin Sutherland is the first-round leader of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am after shooting a six-under-par 66 in California today.
Sutherland had seven birdies and a bogey for a one-stroke lead over Mike Weir and Robert Gamez.
Tom Lehman heads a group of nine players two strokes off the pace on 68.
Defending champion Matt Gogel had 39 putts in a disastrous round of 78.
