The Labour Court met SIPTU cabin crew representatives in Aer Lingus yesterday to hear their submission for better pay and conditions. But the threat of further industrial action this week by IMPACT cabin crew members has been averted.

IMPACT has called off its one-day strike tomorrow. The decision follows intensive discussions between union officials and cabin crew representatives. In a separate development, Aer Lingus pilots, also members of IMPACT, have suspended their work to rule for the Christmas holiday season.
