The Tanaiste, Mr Spring, said yesterday the Middle East peace process was undermined by the Israeli government's decision to approve construction plans for the Har Homa settlement in greater Jerusalem.
"The Government calls on Israel, in the light of its commitment to the principles of Madrid and the terms of the Oslo Agreements, and in the interests of improving the atmosphere for negotiations between Israel and its Arab neighbours, to reconsider its decision," he said.
