Paris - A spray which shoots out a spider's web of fine fibres could help skin to heal without leaving a scar, New Scientist reports in its edition next Saturday. The fibres, made of biodegradable polymer, lie across the wound like a mat, encouraging the skin to form a strong structure as it heals. The mat mimics the woven structure that is adopted by collagen cells to provide the strong, flexible skin with which we are born.
