The champion jockey successfully applied to the Horseracing Regulatory Authority to have the suspension start a day later so he could ride in two Group One races at the Curragh on Sunday.

However, neither of his intended mounts - Flashy Wings in the 1000 Guineas, nor David Junior in the Tattersalls Gold Cup - are taking up their engagements.

Spencer was dealt a two-day ban for careless riding at York last week.
