Ennis Book Club FestivalThis three-day festival, which continues until tomorrow, brings together book club members and readers from Ireland and beyond. It is supported by Clare County Library and includes author readings, discussions, workshops and walking tours.

Broadcasters Áine Lawlor and Seán Moncrieff are today hosting a session on ‘10 Books You Should Read’, at 11.30am at Glór.

Also today, for the walking tour of Ennis with local historian Sean Spellissy, participants should meet at 11.30am at Glór.

And Irish Times columnist Michael Harding is reading from his new memoir at noon today at the Old Ground Hotel.

Castleblaney Drama Festival

The festival kicked off on Thursday night and continues tonight at the Íontas Theatre with the DADS group presenting War by Roddy Doyle. The Bridge Drama Group presents Out of Order by Ray Cooney tomorrow night. The adjudicator at the festival, which ends next Saturday night, is Chrissie Poulter.

New Music Dublin

The National Concert Hall in Dublin is hosting New Music Dublin, a three-day festival of music which started yesterday.

It includes workshops, screenings and choral projects.

Tomorrow’s programme includes the Callino Quartet at 1.05pm; Crash Ensemble at 5.30pm; and Jóhann Jóhannsson and the Hilliard Ensemble at 8pm.
