Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set for surgery to try to cure a knee injury.
The 30-year-old Norway international scored in the 5-0 Champions League win over Panathinaikos but missed Sunday's draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford and is set to have an operation.
A statement on the club's official website, www.manutd.com, said: "Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to undergo a knee operation on Tuesday.
"It is something we have tried to correct over the last few weeks, but it is important Ole now has this operation so he can concentrate on the rest of the season.
