A soldier has been killed in an accident at the Curragh army camp in Co Kildare this afternoon.
The soldier will not been named until next of kin have been informed.
He died in a single vehicle accident on the camp’s off-road vehicle training circuit at around 2.30pm. The circuit is used to train soldiers how to drive across country.
A spokesman for the Department of Defence said an investigation into the accident was being carried out by military police.
