There is only one designated social worker allocated to deal with more than 110 unaccompanied refugee children, the trade union Impact has claimed. It said the lack of designated social workers to deal with growing numbers of asylum-seekers was symptomatic of the Government's "piecemeal and inadequate approach to its international responsibilities on refugees".
