It was another fatal weekend on Irish roads with three people losing their lives in separate road crashes.
A man in his 20s died when his car crashed into a ditch in Lurgans, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, on Sunday.
The man was the only occupant of the car which crashed just after midnight. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Saturday, a 26-year-old motorcyclist died after he collided with three cars at the Pigeons, Athlone, Co Westmeath, at about 8pm.

The man was treated by emergency services at the scene but died a short time later.
A man in his 70s died following a single-vehicle crash at Dromore West, Co Sligo, at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon. The man who was driving a tractor was pronounced dead at the scene . The body was taken to Sligo University Hospital where a postmortem examination will be carried out.
Fatalities
The three fatalities bring to 81 the number of people killed in traffic collisions so far this year. The Garda’s Forensic Collision Investigators Unit were requested to examine the scenes.
Meanwhile, a woman died in the early hours of Saturday morning after being struck by a Luas tram.
The incident occurred at St James's Walk, Rialto, at about 12.35am on Saturday morning.
