Clare man Donal ‘Donie’ O’Sullivan missing in Sydney

33-year-old was last seen on Saturday morning in Bondi Junction

About 100 people from the Irish community in Australia have rallied together to help search for missing Irishman Donal `Donie’ O’ Sullivan in Sydney today.

Police in New South Wales Sydney have also stepped up their efforts to find the Co Clare man who has been missing four days.

The 33-year-old was last seen on Bronte Road, walking in the direction of Cock ‘n Bull Bar on Ebley Street, in Bondi Junction last Saturday at 10.30am.

Mr O’ Sullivan’s brother Johnnie and friends have been handing out pictures around the Eastern suburbs.

A friend of the missing man said Mr O’ Sullivan has lived in Sydney for about two years and worked as a pipe layer.

“It’s really out of character for Donie. He never misses work and has never done anything like this before,” she said.

“He’s a very friendly, chatty guy and everybody knows him.

“It’s really upsetting for everybody here.We’re doing everything we can to find him. ”

Mr O’ Sullivan is about 5ft 10, of stocky build and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt and blue jeans.

Detectives are examining CCTV footage in the area.

The Department of Foreign Affairs spokesman said they were aware of the case and were providing consular assistance to the family through the Consulate General in Sydney.
