Small sum taken in Wexford bank raid

Two men made off with a small amount of money following an armed raid on a bank in Bunclody this afernoon.

Two men made off with a small amount of money following an armed raid on a bank in Bunclody this afernoon.

The robbery on a Bank of Ireland branch in the Wexford town happened shortly after 2 p.m. today.

After the robbery two men escaped in a white Honda Civic which was later found on Hospital Hill on the Kiltealy Road.

The men are thought to have changed cars and travelled in the Carlow direction in a black car.

No shots were fired and nobody was hurt in the raid.
